About this cemetery
The Manila American Cemetery and Memorial occupies 152 acres on a prominent plateau within the former Fort William McKinley, visible at a distance from the east, south and west. It contains the largest number of graves of American military dead of World War II — most of whom lost their lives in operations in New Guinea and the Philippines.
The memorial's hemicycles carry mosaic maps of the Pacific campaigns, and the Tablets of the Missing record the names of tens of thousands who remain unaccounted for.
Location & directions
The cemetery can be reached most easily from Manila by taxi or automobile via Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) to McKinley Road, then McKinley Parkway inside Bonifacio Global City.
